1. About Heritage Watch
Heritage Watch is a community advocacy platform dedicated to tracking, documenting, and protecting the heritage of Langley's neighbourhoods. The site provides information about heritage buildings, municipal decisions, active alerts, and community resources. Heritage Watch is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official publication of the Township of Langley, the City of Langley, or any government body.
2. Accuracy of Information
Heritage Watch makes every reasonable effort to ensure that the information published on this site is accurate and up to date. However, information about municipal decisions, heritage designations, permit applications, and council proceedings changes frequently. You should always verify critical information directly with the relevant municipal authority before taking action.
Heritage Watch is not responsible for any errors, omissions, or outdated information on this site, nor for any actions taken in reliance on such information.
3. Community Content and Submissions
Users may submit stories, photographs, comments, and other content to Heritage Watch. By submitting content, you represent that:
- You own or have the right to share the content
- The content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights
- The content is accurate to the best of your knowledge
- The content does not contain defamatory, harassing, or unlawful material
By submitting content, you grant Heritage Watch a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish, display, and distribute that content on this site for the purpose of community heritage advocacy. You retain ownership of your content.
Heritage Watch reserves the right to edit, remove, or decline to publish any submitted content at its sole discretion.
4. Petitions
Petition signatures collected on Heritage Watch are community advocacy tools. By signing a petition, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you consent to your name and neighbourhood being displayed publicly as part of the petition record. Email addresses are stored only as one-way cryptographic hashes and are never displayed publicly.
Heritage Watch petitions are not official government submissions. To formally submit comments to a municipal authority, you must contact that authority directly through its official channels.
